1. Use less plastic
Most of the plastic we use ends up in water bodies. Fishes and animals consume them and it becomes reason for their deaths. Using fewer plastic items and recycling them help us for this situation.
2. Reuse and recycle items
It is a good idea to use the things again which we can use like plastic bags, bottles, clothes etc. Glass bottles and paper bags are recyclable and don’t produce pollution as much plastic produce.
3. Use fewer chemicals
We use a lot of chemicals in cleaning our homes, cars, clothes etc. which later end in water bodies and contaminate a large quantity of water. Minimizing the use of chemicals in daily use will definitely save a lot of water.
4. Use environmental friendly detergents and pesticides
Environmental friendly items may be a little expensive than the artificial ones but they worth it as you are giving your part to give your child for a better environment and quality of life. Using natural pesticides and fertilizers will keep water and earth safe.
5. Plant trees and fauna near water bodies
Planting trees is best way to prevent a lot of pollution and assurance of better life quality. Plants give a beautiful and hygienic atmosphere. Plants control the amount of Carbon di Oxide and oxygen. They also balance its pH level.
6. Do not litter and clean up
There are dustbins for littering if someone is littering in water bodies like river or lake tell them not to do so. If you see garbage, pick it up and throw it away in dustbins.
7. Use less water at home
Turn off taps when they are not in use, don’t use a lot of water in bathing when it may be done with less water. Use less water for cleaning utensils and clothes.
8. Use sparkling water
In gardens sparkle the water, use rainfall techniques to conserve water.
9. Routine cleaning or ponds and lakes
Lakes and wells are normally used for human or animals should be routinely cleaned and regularly tested. This a great measure to stop any disease from spreading in a large population.

Drinking water should be safe and purified, it is important for preventing water borne diseases. We should be aware and teach other people also about it. Street plays and health education programs should be organized.
